This policy explains how Bystronic handles personal data collected through this information site, consistent with EU GDPR, Swiss FADP and U.S. state privacy frameworks.
On the inquiry form: name, company, work email, country / region, selected product or automation interest, and free-text message. On server logs: IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp, pages visited — retained for security and analytics.
Your inquiry is routed to the Bystronic regional office and engineer best matched to your geography and product interest. Our target first-response window is one business day. We may follow up about related datasheets or relevant applications resources only in the context of your original request.
We process inquiry data on the basis of your request (pre-contractual steps under GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in responding to customers (Art. 6(1)(f)). Server-log processing relies on legitimate interest in maintaining site security.
Inquiry records are retained for a maximum of 36 months after last activity, unless you become a Bystronic customer (in which case customer-record retention rules apply). Server logs are retained for 12 months.
We may share routing data with contracted email, CRM and analytics providers bound by data-processing agreements aligned with GDPR / FADP. We do not sell personal data.
You may request access, correction, deletion or portability of your personal data, and withdraw consent to receive follow-ups. Contact [email protected].
This site uses strictly necessary cookies for session continuity. Optional analytics cookies are loaded only after explicit consent, where legally required.
Inquiry data may be transferred between Bystronic entities in Switzerland, the EU, the United States and China, under Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
